I'm Alexandra Avila, a travel publicist and photographer based in New York City. 

 

This year I was named PR News 2019 “Top Women in PR." For the last 10 years I've been positioned as the client, the agency and the publication, giving me a unique perspective to approaching a brand’s communications strategy. 

 

In 2019, I founded Spherical PR – a travel PR firm for the digital era. Our clients include international boutique or family-owned hotels and tour operators with a hand and commitment in conservation and sustainability.

I was previously President at JG Black Book and instrumental in bridging its assets in sales, marketing, branding, social media and public relations, offering clients increased ROI and added value in an increasingly competitive market where brands need a unified voice.

 

My career has been focused on the new integrated world of trade and public relations with experience that has combined partnership development, digital marketing and social media to maximize trade and consumer exposure. My years of proven success has been implemented through creative marketing solutions to support brands within the travel, fashion and publishing industries.
